From Baltimore Route 70 West toward Hagerstown.  Take Exit 35  (Boonsboro/Smithsburg, Route 66).  Turn left off exit.  Follow  Route 66 to Boonsboro.  Scenic Route Route 70 West toward Hagerstown.  Take Exit 49 (Alternate Route 40,Washington Monument State Park, Boonsboro).  Turn left onto Alternate Route 40 and continue approximately 12 miles. From Washington D. C.  Route 270 to Route 70 West toward Hagerstown. Take Exit 35  (Boonsboro/Smithsburg, Route 66).  Turn left off exit.  Follow  Route 66 to Boonsboro.  Scenic Route Route 270 to Route 70 West toward Hagerstown.  Take Exit 49 (Alternate Route 40,Washington Monument State Park, Boonsboro).  Turn left onto Alternate Route 40 and continue approximately 12 miles. From Chambersburg , Pennsylvania Route 81 South to Route 70 East.  Take Exit 35 (Boonsboro/Smithsburg, Route 66).  Turn right off exit.  Follow  Route 66 to Boonsboro. From Harpers Ferry, West Virginia Take Route 340 North to Route 67 West which ends at Alternate Route 40 outside of Boonsboro. From Martinsburg, West Virginia Route 81 North to Route 68 East (Exit 1) approximately 10 miles to Alternate Route 40, turn right. From Shepherdstown, West Virginia Follow Route 480 which becomes Route 34 in Maryland approximately 10 miles.
